Lunch & Learn | Mayor Ishmael Harris

Mayor Harris’s heritage is rooted deep in Juneteenth Rodeos, and the Bastrop County Historical Society is honored to have him come and talk about his family’s legacy. His presentation will be in conjunction with the newest Special Exhibit, Soul Circuit: Juneteenth Rodeos in Texas. A collection of dynamic photographs by Sarah Bird of Juneteenth Rodeos across Texas. Participants will not only hear a personal account but see this exhibit for free. The exhibit and lunch are free through a grant from Humanities Texas through the National Endowment for the Arts.
