The Broken Word · A Spoken Word Gathering

Words take on a different life when we hear them aloud. Join us at the BookHouse for our first Broken Word gathering—an evening of spoken word, beginning with poetry.

Bring an original poem, a favorite piece by another writer, or simply come to listen. With Halloween just around the corner, a little mystery or an eerie tale is welcome, though your words can take us anywhere.

Bring a dish or snack to share. You’re also welcome to bring your beverage of choice for an evening of poetry, conversation, and connection.

The Broken Word will become a monthly BookHouse After Hours experience. We’re beginning on a Thursday and will find the day that works best for our community.
