Make plans to be in Smithville Texas for the 33rd Annual Festival of Lights our theme this year is "Polar Express" in Smithville!
It will be a day full of fun and activities including pictures with Santa, food, vendors and much more! 40,000lbs of real snow will be blown that morning in preparation for snow tubing and friendly snow ball throwing in the kid zone!
Plus, you don't want to miss the Indoor Arts & Crafts Expo at the Rec Center, the famous Ann Powell Express train will be providing complimentary rides throughout the day and we will end the evening with our Lighted Holiday Parade!
Here is the schedule:
The day starts with our Gingerbread Trot, a 5K Run/Walk with Music, Costume Contest, Giveaways, and more details to come! The race will start at Smitty's Court, with registration beginning at 7:30AM, Race will start at 8AM. (more information to come, including registration/waiver forms)

Gingerbread Trot 5k Starts (at Smitty's Court) with participant and friends after-party celebration to announce winners!

Outdoor vendors will setup along Main Street, and the vendors for the Indoor Arts & Craft Show will be at the Rec center. (train rides to the Rec Center and back to Main will be going on throughout the day)
9AM - 5PM
Snow Tubing and Friendly Snow Ball Fights with 40,000lbs of Real Snow in the Kid Zone (next to the chamber office and gazebo), Enjoy Hot Cocoa, Food, Free Pictures with Santa and more!
10AM - 12PM and 3 - 5PM
